Fall Flowers and Wisconsin Landscapes Fill Artisan with beauty - September 2016

Once Labor Day arrives, thoughts turn to the season of autumn in so many ways. At Artisan communities, our residents are inspired to be creative in the spirit of the new season - including in the inspiration that is a very important part of the art sessions that take place.

The Brilliant Sunflowers of August 2016

What better way to celebrate summer in Wisconsin than by creating fabulous works of art centered around the theme of sunflowers? Our resident artists had a wonderful time creating their masterpieces in a variety of ways: one of our residents shared memories of being a ranch hand many years ago, while he worked completely independently to create a sunset over a field of sunflowers.

Summer, summer everywhere - July 2016

Wisconsin is a wonderful place to be in the summertime with beautiful lakes and parks, landscapes, flowers and living creatures, festivals, food and music found all across the state. In Madison, the majestic Capitol Building has a special magic in the warmer months. Our Artisan residents found that they have many memories that become a centerpiece of art sessions, and this leads to many creations and the sharing of memories of summers from the past.

Amazing waterscapes and blooms - June 2016

Wisconsin is a state with lots of gorgeous landscapes. There are many beautiful bodies of water as well, and the backdrop against the waters is also simply lovely. Artisan residents recently worked with Artisan Artist in Residence Amy, and found inspiration in books, magazine, lush photographs, and memories to create stunning works that showcase the diverse beauty of Wisconsin.

Exquisite Butterflies and Blossoms - May 2016

Butterflies are a rite of passage to springtime in Wisconsin. These creatures are lovely, graceful, colorful and delicate. They are an inspiration to artists, and to the resident artists at Artisan communities.

April showers bring May flowers and amazing artwork - April 2016

April showers traditionally mean May flowers will be in full bloom. At Artisan Senior living this spring, we are enjoying so many amazing and inspiring pieces of artwork that are coming from all of our talented resident artists. Some of the blossoms and nature pieces feature rain and storms, while other pieces of art showcase other elements of nature.

Early springtime and St. Patrick's Day Artwork - March 2016

While in March there are still plenty of signs of winter all around, and many cold days likely to come, there are some hints of spring starting to pop up here and there. In addition, there are some wonderful holidays that come in March and in the spring days ahead - a favorite for Irish and non-Irish alike, St. Patrick's Day, as well as Easter and spring time celebrations.

Valentine's Day Artwork by Artisan Residents - February 2016

Valentine's Day is a beloved holiday at Artisan - our resident artists love to both create art for themselves and for their community (as this artwork inspires them and reminds them of years gone by!), and as well residents love to create gifts for friends and loved ones.  We love to see all the fabulous art creations, and witness the lively and fun art sessions leading up to the holiday!

Fabulous winter artwork by residents - January 2016

It's winter in full swing at Artisan communities - and our art sessions certainly reflect the season!  Winter landscapes are a favorite of many of our residents, and so many of our residents have wonderful memories of spending days in past years outside in the snow.

Resident Holiday Artwork December 2015

The holidays! Actual snowy weather and a festive holiday atmosphere helped transform Artisan to a fun and creative art venue. Artisan Artist in Residence Amy inspired resident in recent art sessions with photos of Christmas-y artwork, beautiful pictures of winter wonderlands, birds in winter, Christmas trees and scenes, and lots of fun snowmen.
