Colorful flowers and birds to brighten up the winter - January 2017

January can be a very cold, dreary, and long month - so what better way to beat any "January blues" that might strike with some gorgeous and inspired artwork? Artisan Artist in Residence Amy grew up in St. Louis, and shared stories about the botanical garden there and its annual orchid show which is held this time of year. The focus of Artisan residents turned to bright, colorful flowers - with a nod to favorites from the spring and summer months.

In additional to the gorgeous flowers, colorful bird artwork - like a fantastic bird-of-paradise painting - came forth. It was an amazing output of creativity during these sessions - orchids, hibiscus, blue flowers, red flowers, yellow and white flowers, cactus flowers, were all created. 

It is safe to say that January at Artisan is a very vibrant month!
