Wisconsin Vacations Art Session, June 2015

A recent art session focused on vacations, as Wisconsin has long been a destination place. Artist in Residence Amy worked with Artisan resident artists and the sessions focused on the beautiful Badger State through inspiring visuals in books, photos, and postcards. These prompted travel and hometown stories and lots of lovely artistic creations. Some residents worked from the many Wisconsin photos, while another painted a lovely lake scene from the northern part of the state. This resident also got very creative and wanted to experiment - she decided to paint with colors to “see what happens”.

It was also fun to see a group of residents, after they finished their creations, gather as a large group to look at books, share stories and memories, and engage in lively conversation.
